Love the recipes this time; can't wait to pickle some beets. Your idea about "winterizing" your system is something I had never thought about before, but will definitely be doing this month. How nice to get ahead in the fall season and then not worry about taking a few days off in winter. I also did not know that certain foods can help the body clear the prostaglandins; this month I will be better prepared!
Jessica, thanks for sharing such useful tips and information. I will try all these in my next menstruation. I live in tropical climate, so it comes perfectly.
I started reading this article from my inbox right before my plane took off yesterday, so it had downloaded onto my phone. That gave me a lot of time to process and absorb everything you wrote. It was very fun for me to read about hormones from someone else - a fresh perspective and I found the section on prostaglandins fascinating. I wish I had known all of these cycle adjustments when I was taking my "perfect" cycles for granted. I could have greatly benefitted from the beauty of better aligning with my body instead of always pushing through it or pushing ahead.
Thanks for your food ideas too! I've been in a food funk lately and haven't been giving it enough thought.
Jess, I'm starting from scratch with your Publication even though I'm now perimenopausal. I'm going back to Day 1 and reading through every article. You have a lot to teach me.
Shelby, thanks! Ah, that's encouraging! I'm am definitely perimenopausal as well. I'm on a huge protocol that I started when I turned 40. I'm 5 years in and my cycles are actually the most normal that they have ever been.
I attribute this to supporting excess estrogen elimination through liver support, acupuncture, a plethora of medicinal herbs and bio-identical progesterone oil.
This path has been quite a journey.
Yes, my cycles are a bit wobbly and some months (when I don't ovulate) I feel like Fall phase is all month long.
I'm looking forward to writing more about my perimenopause journey and I'm so encouraged that you are on the journey with me!!!
Happy travels!
Let's connect soon and see how we can support each other's work even more!
As I go through each article, I'm going to think about how I can pull you into my audience. As I just said in my Note, this information is so beneficial to learn regardless of one's age. I'm glad that you are back on track and have found things to help you. Everyone loves a good perimenopause story 😁 and someone special to share it with.
